Research:
- Biology, ecology and economic importance of insects
- Methods of forecasting appearance of pest insects and controlling their population
- Use of chemical and biological insecticides in forest protection and their impact on the forest environment
- Improvement of the resistance of forest ecosystems to pests
Advisory work:
- Identification of forest tree diseases and harmful insects
- Application of pheromones and insecticides in forest protection
- An annual assessment of the occurrence of major forest pest insects and a forecast of their occurrence in the next year.
